Robinson's Equestrian Services Stable Management Program

Robinson'sEquestrian Services located at Hayward Hills Equestrian Center is offering a stable management course for horse crazy teens this summer. This is NOT a camp, but rather a course for kids who want to prepare themselves to work at a stable some day. Course covers all aspects of stable management and will provide the student with thorough preparation for working the in the equine industry. Students will have the opportunity to do some riding as training is a key component of running a stable. However, riding is not the focus and riding lessons need to be taken independent of the course and could happen at the end of their day if you wish. While this is serious business, fun and a lot of it is guaranteed...it is summer after all!
This is a very special program and limited to 8 individuals to ensure quality one on one time. Do not wait to inquire or assume spots are all full...just email for info or call Chris Harvey 510-904-7809. Course targets teens ages 14-18 who have taken riding lessons for at least one year and are intermediate riders (walk, trot, canter). MUST be comfortable and not scared being around horses. Course runs 9am-3pm. Early drop off or late pick up can be arranged. Must be able to move 75 lbs and happy to do a lot of physical work. There is some classroom style teaching, tests and certificate of achievement upon successful completion of the course. We also will provide letters of recommendation. Now for the best part....$500 for each 4 week course. That's what you pay for 1 week of horse camp!
1st course 6/15/2009-7/10/2009. 2nd Course (different info) 7/20/2009 - 8/14/2009. Students must remain on the property to ensure their safety all day, bring a bag lunch (fridge/micro on site). For more info or application email chrisharvey2008@yahoo.com or call professional riding and course instructor, Chris Harvey 510-904-7809.
